Job Title:

Substitute Assistant Cook

Immediate Supervisor:

Head Cook


Head Supervisor: Superintendent of the School

Job Goals: To fill in for the current assistant cook. When called in to work, this person will assist the head cook in daily preparation, serving, and cleanup of the district breakfast and lunch program




Qualification:

  • Experience as a cook, preferably in a commercial or institutional setting
  • Ability to work well with students and staff
  • Language and math skills necessary to perform essential job duties and responsibilities
  • Physical ability to perform essential job duties and responsibilities
  • Possess a State of Washington Food and Beverage Service Worker’s Permit



Performance Responsibilities:

  1. Be available to come to work when called—possibly within an hour’s notice.

  1. Assist in preparing and serving meals.

  2. Assist in cleanup: dishes, kitchen equipment, lunchroom tables, etc.

  3. Assist head cook as needed.

  4. Perform other similar duties as necessary within the position.


Wages & Benefits:

As per PSE Agreement



Working Hours:

To be recommended by supervisor(s) and approved by the Superintendent, but normally two hours each time called in.



Term of Employment:

To be determined by the Sprague Superintendent and Sprague School Board
